September 11, 2009

Some of the independent font foundries are especially fun to watch, because they’re using inventive ways to market their wares. Case in point: how about a trailer for an upcoming font release?

Money Management Seminar

August 24, 2006

A representative from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will present information about general budgeting and money management on Monday, August 28, at Noon in the Gallery Lounge. This session will last 30-45 minutes, and is sponsored by the Office of Financial Aid as part of Student Life’s Welcome Week.

Managing money is one of the most important life-skills a person can have–and, for some, one of the hardest to learn. Knowing your budget and finances are under control will eliminate one potential source of stress, and allow you to concentrate your energies on other areas of your life.

Handouts on different aspects of money management will be available at the Financial Aid table during the session, and you’ll have a chance to ask questions during the presentation. If you would like to discuss this on a more in-depth and personal level, Financial Aid advisors are available to help you plan a budget and discuss other money management issues Monday-Friday, from 9:00 – 11:30 A.M. and 1:00 – 4:00 P.M., unless otherwise posted.
