Additional Open Labs

C138 Open Lab Hours Update

Effective immediately, Friday’s open lab hours has been changed. The new Friday open lab hours are from 8am-2pm. The updated schedule is posted here: http://gds.parkland.edu/gds/studio/hours.html

Fall Open Lab Schedule

The Fall 2009 open lab schedule starts today: gds.parkland.edu/gds/studio/hours.html. Please note that there will be no open lab on Monday Sept 7 (Labor Day). In addition to C138 open lab hours, student may also use M108 which has 8 Macintosh stations with the same software installed as in C138. Some instructors may allow select students to sit in the back of C138 during their classes. Please ask for permission before doing so.

Lab Monitors Wanted

Responsible graphic design students wanted for paid lab monitor positions. You are comfortable with Macintosh OSX and graphic design software. You also enjoy helping other students. No prior experience necessary, but preference will be given to GDS students with 2 or more completed classes. Students must maintain a minimum enrollment of 6 credit hours, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better. Please fill out an application at the Career Center (A175). Also check this page for available hours.

Digishare Clean Up

If you still have files stored on the Digishare drive in C138, please back them up now. We will be deleting last semester’s files on Friday, January 23, 2009.

Lab Monitor Wanted Fri Eve and Sat Afternoon

C138 might be closed on Friday evenings or Saturday afternoons the next few weeks if a student worker can’t be found. If you’re available during those times, please email Matthew Watt <mwatt@parkland.edu> ASAP. You must be enrolled at least 6 credit hours with a minimum 2.0 GPA. You should also be familiar with Mac OS and Adobe Creative Suite. Preference is given to graphic design majors. This is a paid position.

No open lab on 10/13

There will be no open lab between 11am-1pm on Mon Oct 13 due to a midterm exam.

Angel Firefox 3 Update

The HTML editor and the INSERT LINK function in Angel has now been fixed for Firefox 3. If you experience any further problems with Angel, please email Paul Young <pyoung.parkland.edu@gmail.com>

Last Day of Open Lab is 12/13

C138 will have regularly scheduled open lab until Thursday December 13, 2007. Have a happy holiday season.
