Please join us in this expedition to the Indianapolis Museum of Art that includes a Spotlight Tour of the contemporary galleries. IMA’s wide-ranging collection includes installations, paintings, sculpture, photography, works on paper, video, and one of the nation’s leading collections of studio glass. After the tour for our group, individuals will have free time to eat lunch at Puck’s or the IMA Café and browse the museum gift shop and bookstore. Additional time is allotted for viewing the permanent galleries to see the other cultural and artistic treasures from the museum’s vast holdings. Exhibits on display include: Hats of Africa: From Asante to Zulu; Omer Fast: Godville; Ingrid Calame: Traces of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway; Kenneth Tyler: Tamarind, Gemini Gel and Tyler Graphics; Paris Posters: The Art of the Streets; and works from the Permanent Collection. Detailed descriptions of some of these exhibits are below or visit their website at www.ima-art.org.
